Gagaku musician. Born in Tokyo. Kiyota graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts' Department of Traditional Japanese Music, majoring in gagaku (court music). She studied yokobue flute (ryuteki, komabue, kagurabue), court dance, gakubiwa, Noh chanting, kagura and gagaku percussion instruments with teachers Tadaaki Ono (of the Imperial Household Agency’s Board of Ceremonies Music Department), Kenji Ue, Akihiko Ue, Tadazumi Ono, Hokuto Matsui, Seiichi Masuyama, and Motoki Ohara. In 2018 Kiyota appeared on the TV program Hyakka Ryoran. She has also performed in concerts by the group Tokyo Gakuso and Hideki Togi.
