Born in 1994, artist and vocalist Aoi Tagami explores the song through the use of her own voice and words. Since 2014 she has been giving performances in diverse locations, from outdoor settings to theatre spaces. Her activities are based on the concept that we can consider the nature of real spaces and bodies in new ways through singing voices and words that emanate from living beings. Her recent works include "Chikyu no hou (towards the earth)" (2016), in which she sings loudly while running outdoors, and the performance work "Toku made konkurito de (into the distance in concrete)" (2017), in which she places her mouth on the walls as she sings, leaving tracks of saliva.
