In their band project Hello, Takahiro Kawaguchi, Shinjiro Yamaguchi, and Satoshi Kanda play composed works and explore ideas they wouldn't be able to pursue individually or improvisationally. Kawaguchi started performing his own compositions together with Yamaguchi in around 2005, and it was in '08 that they began working under the name Hello. Kanda officially joined the project in '09 to form the current trio. In June of '09 they released their first CD, Hello, on the Ftarri label.
