After graduating with a major in composition at Toho Gakuen School of Music and continuing her studies at that university's graduate school, Yoshizawa earned a master's degree in the research field of Creativity of Music and Sound at Tokyo University of the Arts. Her diverse works range from video music to contemporary classical. Yoshizawa won the Judges' Award in the 15th Japan Composition Contest. She participated as workshop student in the E-TV program Ryuichi Sakamato's music school "Schola."
