Born in Gunma Prefecture in 1986. Umezawa has presented his work at Ina-GRM (France) and carried out an artist-in-residence program at EMS (Stockholm). In 2019, he released a duo album with Yoichi Uemura in October, and is set to release another with Shohei Amimori in November, both on the Ftarri label.
