In around 2003, Yashiro started presenting installation exhibitions and performances using self-propelled speakers and original self-made devices. From the same period until 2016, he also ran a space called Yahiro HIGHTI, located in a disused factory in Sumida-ku, Tokyo. Yashiro presents performances/exhibitions at galleries and festivals in Japan and overseas with Motallica, a duo with drummer Keiichi Nakano in which woofers are moved around through the use of computer controls; and with The Great Triangle, his project with Makoto Oshiro and Takahiro Kawaguchi.
