Zhu Wenbo is based in Beijing. He focuses on "music unlike music," which could be thought of as a drift away from China's traditional experimental/noise/improvisation music scene. His activity includes writing compositions, running the cassette label Zoomin' Night, and even playing in a rock band. He is a member of the non-music core band Kaoru Abe No Future. Zhu has been active as an organizer and promoter in Beijing for more than ten years. In 2017 he produced the compilation There Is No Music from China with Yan Jun, released by End of the Alphabet (New Zealand) and Zoomin' Night (China).
